Aim 3: Communication and outreach.

The presentation was made by Prof Mainen Moshi and Mr Ahaz Kulanga. They presented to members of the sensitization meeting that the theme exists to ensure the relevance of education and research undertaken by working closely with stakeholders to optimize efforts to meet the human resources for health needs of the country, especially related to HIV/AIDS.

This aim is planned to be achieved by two sub aims/approaches:• Enhancing communication with key stakeholders   • Implementing a viable graduate tracking system  Focused key stakeholders in THET were among others the following groups:  • Regional quality assurance bodies (IUCEA) • The Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) • Professional Councils (MCT, NCT etc.) • Higher health training institutions • Employers (public and private)  • The public • The government (Scheme of Service; incentives) The presenters informed members the key outputs have been achieved including completed development of three dissemination packages developed and more than 60 stakeholders have been involved in dissemination activities.
